Major Closures Planned For 'Mixing Bowl' In VA
In order to safely install the last two spans of a key overpass in the Interstate 95/395 "Mixing Bowl" construction project, the Virginia Department of Transportation temporarily shut down a major traffic route on the east coast on August 16.
Closure of I-95 northbound to I-395 north and I-495 west (Capitol Beltway-Inner Loop) will continue sporadically through late August and possibly into September.
